Moving water? Changing land?

As the planet warms, so does the water and ice in our oceans. Warmer water causes glaciers to melt and has an effect on sea levels. To see this in action, you can do an experiment at home. For this you will need: a clear plastic cup/container, ice cubes, water, and a permanent marker. First, fill up your container about halfway full with water. Add a couple of ice cubes, making sure that you have some room left in the container. Using a marker, make a line where the water level is. Leave the container out for a couple of hours and check back to see when all of the ice has melted. What happened to the water level? What does this mean for our sea levels?
